It's one of our Top 10 Things to Do in Glencoe - Ballachulish Bridge
Ballachulish Bridge, standing strong and proud, hasn't always been a part of our landscape. For centuries, ferry boats were on hand to chaperone people back and forth across the waters of Loch Linnhe.
The shuttling back and forth came to an end when the Ballachulish Bridge was opened around 1975. Linking north and south Ballachulish. Although the ferry is long gone, the slipways that served the ferry remain.
A popular spot for photographers with a spectacular backdrop, the bridge has become a landmark for the town of Ballachulish.
